Bukit Bintang
5 minute drive. Bukit Bintang is a very famous shopping and entertainment district of Kuala Lumpur. It encompasses Jalan Bukit Bintang and its immediate surrounding areas. The area has long been Kuala Lumpur's most prominent retail belt that is home to many landmark shopping centres such as Pavillion KL, al-fresco cafés, swanky bars, night markets, as well as hawker-type eateries. This area is popular among tourists and locals, especially among the youths. A part of Bintang Walk is designated as an "Arab Street" that comes alive especially during the Middle East summer holiday season.

Merdeka Square
5 minute walk. It is situated in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building where the Malaysian flag hoisted for the first time on August 31, 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has been the usual venue for the National Day Parade.
   
KL Tower
3 minute drive. Completed on 1 March 1995, the communication tower reaches 421 metres. It also contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners with a panoramic view of the city. The tower is the highest viewpoint in Kuala Lumpur that is open to the public.
   
National Monument
5 minute drive. The National Monument is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in the country’s struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War 2. The Malaysian Houses of Parliament is situated near the monument.
   
National Mosque
10 minute walk. It has a capacity of 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres (53,000 m2) of beautiful gardens. Its key features are a 73-metre-high minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof. The main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella and the minaret cap is a folded one
   
Chinatown
5 minute walk. Petaling Street is a Chinatown infamous for pirated clothes and accessories along with bootleg DVDs and CDs. Petaling Street however does not exclusively offer pirated products. Haggling is a common sight here and the place is usually crowded with locals as well as tourists. The area has dozens of restaurants and hawker stalls, serving local favourites
   
Jalan Masjid India
5 minute walk. Jalan Masjid India is the original shopping haven that has dated back over a century ago. The name is derived from a mosque built in 1870 for the Indian Muslim population settling there. The street is well known as the wholesale paradise for all kinds of fabric and textiles. The whole bazaar is mostly filled with colourful and vibrant textile shops apart from other products such as imported clay, brass pots, sarees, jewelleries and Bollywood DVDs. The hawker stalls along this street offer mainly tasty Indian food and snacks.
